Sandy Springs ITP

Welcome to Sandy Springs (Inside The Perimeter)

Featuring great schools and green space, this affluent community has been voted one of Georgia’s best places to live.

Located “inside the I-285 perimeter,” this portion of Sandy Springs offers a coveted commute—  just a few minutes will quickly connect you to the I-75, I-85, or 400 interstates, Downtown Atlanta, and the world’s busiest airport—and many of this town’s beautiful residential roads offer a surprisingly rural feel. Serene estates are situated on as many as 25 acres here, and one- to three-acre properties are the community’s norm.

A hub of business, Sandy Springs is home to the corporate headquarters of many larger companies, including UPS, Cox Communications, and Mercedes-Benz USA—all connected to Atlanta proper.

A range of dining options abounds. Local favorites include Southern Bistro, an airy, modern eatery offering updated Southern comfort cuisine, wines, and a dog-friendly patio. At The Prado, a shopping mall with numerous stores and services, you’ll also find a variety of casual restaurants.

Gateway Shopping Center is another popular shopping destination. Here, you’ll find 122,000 square feet of multi-use retail and dining. Daily-use fitness, salon services, and a farmers’ market grocer are also located here.

Windsor Meadows Park is a four-acre neighborhood park intended for passive use. It has a short loop trail, a lawn, some seats, and a swing. The site of a historic 2009 flood, the city purchased the land through a federal flood mitigation grant program.

Located in the East Palisades unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, Whitewater Creek Trail offers a network of trails and is one of Atlanta’s most popular dog-friendly hiking areas.
