This affluent neighborhood includes Atlanta’s third-largest city park within its borders.
Located in the North Buckhead area of Atlanta and part of Sandy Springs, Chastain features a 268-acre public park as its centerpiece. Residential neighborhoods spread in every direction around the park, which is bordered by the City of Sandy Springs on the north, Mount Paran/Northside to the west, and Tuxedo Park on the south.
There’s an eclectic mix of homes here in a variety of architectural styles, from mid-century ranches to classic Colonials. Home prices start at about $400,000 and rise to $4.6 million, and the area contains the most active new construction market in Buckhead.
Residents enjoy the neighborhood’s convenient location and recreational amenities, which include an arts center, horse park, swimming pool, walking trails, gymnasium, and the famous Chastain Park amphitheater.

Things to Do
At the Chastain Park Arts Festival, more than 100 artists exhibit their work transforming Chastain Park into an outdoor gallery of spectacular fine arts and crafts. This two-day event is held in November.
Residents make use of the 268-acre Chastain Park for jogging, tennis, Little League, and more. Atlanta’s third-largest city park, this vibrant community space offers a wide variety of competitive and recreational activities and includes a swimming pool, a musical amphitheater, playgrounds, softball diamonds, a golf course, and even a horse park. A civic association facilitates a security patrol and helps organize community events like the annual Fourth of July Parade.
Founded in 2003, the Chastain Park Conservancy protects and cultivates the park’s resources and has an active volunteer group.
Northside Youth Organization (NYO) helps foster the growth and development of young athletes through football, baseball, basketball, softball, and cheerleading. NYO has grown to become one of the largest intra-league youth sports programs in the country, serving nearly 2,500 area families and 5,000 children each year.
Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park is a unique venue for concerts and events, and the aforementioned Chastain Horse Park offers a therapeutic riding program for students with mental and physical disabilities as well as provides hunter/jumper riding lessons to the general public.
